Support when everything feels like too much
Stress often builds slowly. You might be coping on the surface, getting through work, family life, or daily responsibilities, while feeling constantly tense, exhausted, irritable, or overwhelmed underneath. Many people describe feeling stuck in “survival mode”, unable to properly rest or switch off.
You may notice physical symptoms such as headaches, poor sleep, muscle tension, or a racing mind. Emotionally, stress can show up as low mood, anxiety, tearfulness, or feeling disconnected from yourself and others. Often, people tell us they don’t know where stress ends and burnout begins, they just know something isn’t sustainable.
At Cherry Tree Therapy Centre, we offer counselling for stress that focuses on understanding what’s driving the pressure you’re under and helping you feel steadier, clearer, and more supported over time.
Counselling for stress provides a calm, confidential space to slow things down and talk through what’s been weighing on you. Therapy is not about pushing you to cope better or adding more tasks; it’s about understanding your limits, needs, and responses with compassion.
Sessions are tailored to you and may focus on emotional processing, practical coping strategies, boundaries, and how stress is showing up in your body, thoughts, and relationships. We work at a pace that feels manageable, helping you move out of constant pressure and towards greater stability.
