Support for relationships, with care and understanding
At Cherry Tree Therapy Centre in Henley, our couples counsellors, family therapists, and mediators support partners and families who are finding relationships difficult, strained, or stuck.
You may be experiencing repeated conflict, communication breakdown, trust issues, or uncertainty about the future of your relationship. Whether you’re hoping to reconnect, make sense of what’s happening, or navigate separation or family change with care, we offer a calm, neutral space where everyone involved can feel heard and respected.
We work with couples and families at many different stages, including:
Couples experiencing ongoing conflict or distance
Partners rebuilding trust or communication
Families navigating change, stress, or transition
Parents needing support around co-parenting
Individuals unsure whether to repair or separate
Our couples counsellors and family therapists work in a thoughtful, balanced way, supporting both emotional understanding and practical communication. Sessions are tailored to your situation, rather than following a one-size-fits-all model.
Our practitioners draw on approaches such as systemic family therapy, integrative and psychodynamic work, using plain language and a pace that feels manageable. Some sessions are more structured, while others focus on helping you understand patterns, emotions, and dynamics that may be repeating.
Where counselling alone isn’t enough, mediation can offer a more practical, forward-focused way of working, particularly when decisions need to be made around separation, parenting, or family arrangements.
We aim to provide a calm, neutral space where conversations can take place safely, even when emotions are high or communication feels difficult.
Sessions are guided by what you’re bringing and what you hope to change. Some people come wanting to repair and reconnect; others need support to separate or co-parent with care. Your therapist or mediator will work with you to support clarity, understanding, and respectful decision-making.
