You Matter. Your Mind Matters.
Feeling overwhelmed, anxious or emotionally stuck?
Your Mind Matters is a 6-week group programme designed to help you explore your mental health in a supportive, down-to-earth setting, while learning practical tools you can carry into everyday life.
Facilitated by Sarah Baxter, a Registered Mental Health Nurse, advocate and speaker, this course offers a warm, reflective space where insight and action go hand in hand.
No pressure. No assumptions. Just space to take a breath, connect, and grow.
What to Expect
Each group is shaped by the people in it, so while no two courses are the same, we’ll typically explore:
- An introduction to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Everyday coping strategies for managing stress and emotion
- Identifying triggers and recognising automatic thoughts
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) tools including defusion and anchoring
- Mindfulness practices to cultivate calm and presence
The focus is on practical, actionable skills that build emotional resilience, deepen self-awareness, and help you reconnect with yourself, even during difficult times.

FAQs
Do I have to share in the group?
No. There’s no pressure to talk or disclose anything personal. You’re invited to engage in a way that feels right for you.
Is this therapy?
It’s a therapeutic course, not group therapy. You’ll explore psychoeducation, techniques, and reflections, but you won’t be expected to process deep personal issues in the group setting.
Is it suitable if I’m in therapy already?
Yes. This course can complement existing support. If unsure, speak to your therapist.
Is the venue accessible?
Unfortunately, the group room is on the second floor, so there are some steps to climb. Please contact us to discuss access needs. We’ll do our best to help.
