Many people put off counselling because of the cost. You might feel that your difficulties aren’t “serious enough”, that others need support more, or that now simply isn’t the right time financially, even though things feel hard.
Often, people arrive feeling torn: knowing they need support, but feeling anxious about affordability, about being judged, or about whether low-cost counselling will really help. That hesitation alone can add to the strain.
At Cherry Tree Therapy Centre, our low-cost counselling service exists to reduce these barriers, offering steady, ethical support without pressure or compromise on care. Our Henley service forms part of Cherry Tree’s wider low-cost counselling provision, which has been carefully developed and overseen from our Buckhurst Hill centre.
Low-cost counselling sessions are also available online, depending on suitability and availability. This can be a helpful option if you’re not local to Henley or would prefer to access counselling from home.
Low-cost counselling at Cherry Tree Therapy Centre is provided by trainee counsellors who are in the final stages of their professional training. They are carefully selected, fully insured, and supported through regular clinical supervision. The work is thoughtful, contained, and paced with care.
Sessions offer a confidential space to talk openly about what’s going on for you, whether that’s anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, loss, or simply feeling stuck. You don’t need a diagnosis or a clear agenda. We focus on helping you feel heard and supported, one step at a time.
