Accessible therapy, thoughtfully supported
At Cherry Tree Therapy Centre in Henley-on-Thames, our low-cost counselling service offers a more accessible way to begin therapy when cost is part of the worry.
We work with trainees who are in the final stages of recognised training, offering professional, compassionate support at a reduced fee.
This isn’t a lesser service. It’s a carefully supported one.
All of our low-cost counsellors have completed substantial training and are supported through regular counselling supervision, working within clear ethical frameworks. This means you can access therapy that is both affordable and well held.
Many people put off getting help because of the cost, even when things feel difficult. Our low-cost service exists to reduce that barrier, while still offering thoughtful, consistent support.
We take care to match you with a counsellor who feels like a good fit, so you’re not left trying to choose from profiles alone.
Our low-cost counsellors support:
When you work with one of our low-cost counsellors, you’re not simply accessing a reduced-fee service. You’re stepping into a space that is carefully supported and professionally held.
We take care in how we match you, so you’re working with someone whose approach and way of being feels right for you. Sessions are guided by what you bring, whether that’s something clear or something harder to put into words, and are paced in a way that feels manageable and respectful.
Alongside this, all low-cost work is supported through regular clinical supervision, offering an additional layer of oversight and care throughout your counselling journey.
Low-cost sessions are £30 per session for individual clients and £40 per session for couples.
Our low-cost counsellors are trainees or newly qualified practitioners who are training through recognised organisations. They will also be a member of a professional body such as the BACP, NCPS or UKCP. All work is supported through regular clinical supervision.
Our low-cost counselling service is currently available for adults and couples only. We do not offer low-cost counselling for children or young people, but we do provide specialist child and adolescent counselling through our qualified therapists.
No. We work with people from Henley-on-Thames and surrounding villages, including areas such as Marlow, Nettlebed, Sonning Common, Wallingford and nearby parts of Oxfordshire and Berkshire. Online sessions are also available.
That’s completely fine. You’re welcome to get in touch to talk things through, and we’ll help you decide whether low-cost counselling or another option would be the best fit for you.
To get started, you’re very welcome to complete our Low-Cost Enquiry Form or book a call.
We’ll talk through what’s been going on for you and help match you with a counsellor who feels like the right fit.
