Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you’re unsure where to begin. I offer a warm, welcoming, and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace.
I believe that every person is unique, so I adapt my approach to meet your individual needs. Whether that means talking things through, working creatively with visual tools, or simply taking time to build trust, my aim is to help you feel safe, understood, and supported.
I work with adults experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including:
I am training as an integrative counsellor, which means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to meet your individual needs rather than following one fixed way of working.
Clients often describe me as calm, warm, and approachable. I work in an attuned and compassionate way, offering gentle challenge when it feels helpful to deepen understanding and support growth. I recognise that everyone processes experiences differently and tailor sessions to suit you.
I am currently completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of East London and am in the final year of my training.
Before training as a counsellor, I built my career within mental health and wellbeing services. Since completing my Master’s degree in 2022, I have worked across youth mental health, homelessness services, special educational needs, and NHS community care.
Alongside my training, I currently work within a domestic abuse recovery programme, supporting children and their non-abusive parents. This role has given me valuable experience in understanding trauma, creating emotional safety, and working at a pace that feels right for each individual.
I have also volunteered in a South African township supporting children to access education and worked with the bereavement team at St Luke’s Hospice.
Counselling has always felt like a vocation for me. Throughout my previous roles, I often found myself providing emotional support while recognising that people needed the opportunity to explore their experiences more deeply. Training as a therapist has allowed me to develop the knowledge, skills, and ethical foundation to offer that space.
