Danni Smith is a trainee Jungian Psychotherapist currently completing her clinical training with the British Psychotherapy Foundation (BJAA), part of the British Jungian Analytic Association. She offers low-cost, in-person counselling at Cherry Tree Therapy Centre for adults aged 18 to 60+, supporting clients who want to explore the unconscious patterns that influence their emotional and relational lives.
Warm, non-judgemental, and gently reflective, Danni works from a depth-oriented approach. She offers clients a calm, collaborative space to feel heard and understood, while gradually helping them uncover how past experiences, particularly early life narratives, may be shaping current behaviours and emotional responses. She integrates supportive self-care tools for short-term relief while encouraging deep, long-term self-awareness and personal growth.
Clients often describe feeling truly heard and supported in Danni’s sessions. They value her grounded presence, gentle honesty, and ability to reflect back experiences with clarity and compassion.
Danni works with a wide range of presenting issues, including:
Before training as a psychotherapist, Danni had a diverse professional background. She worked as a commercial property solicitor for a large advertising agency and held leadership roles in the legal tech and media industries. Her earlier career included work as a stage manager for Phantom of the Opera in London’s West End, as well as television production.
These experiences, alongside volunteering with Cruse Bereavement and an art therapy group for people with severe anxiety and depression, have shaped Danni’s integrative and human-centred approach to therapy. She is also influenced by personal therapy, having undertaken 2.5 years of psychoanalytic psychotherapy prior to her training, and continues with weekly therapy as part of her development, deepening her ability to remain attuned, reflective, and ethically grounded in her work.
Danni has a particular interest in the interplay between mind, body, and culture. Her ongoing interest in yoga philosophy, somatic approaches, and ancient wisdom traditions informs a rich, holistic perspective in her developing clinical practice.
Danni is offering in-person sessions only. If you would like to work with Danni, please complete the form below, and we will be in touch.
