Imogen is a qualified Integrative Child and Adolescent Therapist at the Cherry Tree Therapy Centre in Henley-on-Thames. She works with children and young people from a wide range of backgrounds and has experience supporting neurodivergent children and adolescents.
Imogen has over 7000 hours of counselling experience supporting children and young people with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. She is trained in using the arts and play alongside talking therapy, helping sessions feel as comfortable, engaging, and accessible as possible. This approach can be particularly helpful for neurodivergent clients who may find it difficult to express themselves through words alone. Imogen places great importance on the therapeutic relationship, and her warm, welcoming approach helps children and young people feel safe, understood, and able to open up at their own pace.
As an integrative therapist, Imogen draws on a range of therapeutic models and tailors her approach to the individual rather than applying a one-size-fits-all framework. This flexible way of working allows her to respond sensitively to each child’s strengths, challenges, and developmental stage.
Imogen has worked in a variety of settings, including schools, bereavement services, and domestic violence charities, as well as most recently in a private paediatric practice in London. She has also worked extensively in the charity sector, supporting children and families through organisations such as the NSPCC, Save the Children, and Shooting Star Children’s Hospices.
