Trainee Integrative Counsellor
About Me
Ioana Hunt is an Integrative Trainee Counsellor at the Cherry Tree Centre in Henley-on-Thames. She is studying at CPTA in Reading, studying on a BACP-approved course at CPTA in Reading. She welcomes both online and face-to-face clients with a compassionate and warm presence creating a safe space where you can be held to explore and process your innermost thoughts, feelings and experiences.
With a background in multicultural, linguistic and religious environments as a teacher, translator/interpreter/editor and company manager, she has travelled, lived and worked in various countries in Europe and Latin America. She is passionate about self-development, engaging in extensive meditation and mindfulness practices.
Ioana understands the importance of awareness and believes counselling can lead to a higher level of acceptance of self and others, an increased sense of well-being, and less internal conflict, and emotional or psychological distress. She sees that her role as a counsellor is to guide us through this unchartered territory, acting as a mirror shining a light on the strengths and hidden potentials that lie within each one of us.
Ioana Hunt is a registered student member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She is a trainee counsellor and is currently studying for a Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling.
