Jade Hens is a dedicated and compassionate counsellor who believes deeply in every person’s capacity for growth, healing, and positive change. Her desire to support others began at a young age and led her to pursue professional training in counselling. After several years of study and hands-on experience, she qualified in 2017 as a Level 5 Humanistic Counsellor (FdSc).
Jade’s core belief is that genuine and lasting change happens when individuals feel truly heard, accepted, and understood. She aims to create a warm, trusting therapeutic relationship where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts, emotions, and challenges without fear of judgment. Recognising that each person’s journey is unique, she tailors her approach to suit individual needs—working together to explore patterns in thinking and behaviour, and to reflect on how past experiences may be influencing the present.
Jade has substantial experience working with clients aged 12 and above and welcomes individuals from all backgrounds, cultures, sexualities (LGBTQ+ friendly/ally), and walks of life. She offers support for a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, relationship difficulties (with self or others), low self-esteem, identity struggles, and more. Whatever someone may be facing, Jade offers a safe, inclusive, and supportive space to help them gain clarity and move toward greater emotional well-being.
Since October 2020, Jade has been an accredited and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), reflecting her commitment to the highest standards of ethical and professional practice.
She offers one-to-one therapy on either a short-term or open-ended basis, depending on the client’s goals and preferences. Sessions move at a pace that feels right for the individual, allowing the therapeutic relationship to develop naturally and effectively.
