Natalie Burley is a professional pluralistic therapist who draws on a wide range of therapeutic approaches, including CBT, psychodynamic, humanistic, transactional analysis, existential therapy, as well as hypnotherapy and Integral Eye Movement Therapy (IEMT, similar to EMDR). By working with both the conscious mind and the subconscious belief system, Natalie adapts therapy to meet each client’s individual needs, creating a truly comprehensive therapeutic experience.
In addition to individual work, Natalie Burley is also a couple and relationship counsellor. She supports all types of relationships, including LGBTQ+ couples, and has particular experience helping partners where one or both are living with mental health difficulties or neurodivergence. She also helps parents navigate parenting challenges and strengthen relationships with adult children.
Natalie strongly believes that every client is unique. She is known for her ability to listen deeply and understand what clients truly mean, tailoring each session to their needs and circumstances. With a bachelor’s degree in psychology and cultural awareness, and a master’s degree in translation, she brings a rich educational background.
Before becoming a therapist, Natalie Burley worked for over 20 years in the international corporate world, a role that sharpened her ability to tune into people’s thoughts, feelings, and unspoken emotions. This experience also gave her unique insight into “othering” — whether based on culture, age, sex, sexuality, race, or other aspects of identity. Open-minded and deeply empathetic, she believes people’s identities cannot be put in boxes, and she works to create a space of genuine acceptance and understanding.
For Natalie, the most rewarding part of therapy is walking alongside her clients on their journey of growth, healing, and personal success.
