I believe everyone has the potential and the right to feel healthy and happy. A consultation with me begins with me getting to know your story, gathering information, looking at your symptoms and your typical diet. I can offer a one-off session which will include a clinical assessment and then a personalised action plan with nutrition recommendations and meal advice. From this, you can choose how often you would like me to follow up to check progress. This can be weekly, fortnightly, or monthly. Individuals need different levels of support.
I can also offer functional testing if this is appropriate. I am able to advise on a wide range of nutritional concerns but also have a particular interest in supporting people experiencing mental health difficulties, disordered eating or obesity.
There will be no strict restrictions or complicated rules. Instead, I will empower you with evidence-based advice tailored to your lifestyle.
I am a qualified teacher with 25 years’ experience in secondary schools. After watching a science programme about the links between diet and mental and physical health, I became fascinated by the subject. Further research and the benefits my family experienced after changing how we ate deepened my interest. I then studied part-time at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition while continuing to teach, graduating in 2017. Since then, I have completed additional training with the National Centre for Eating Disorders and often work alongside psychotherapists to support people with eating disorders.
