Tim is a trainee psychosynthesis therapist in the final year of his postgraduate diploma in psychosynthesis counselling. Psychosynthesis is often described as a psychology of hope, supporting people to reflect not only on past experiences, but also to move towards a more meaningful and purposeful future, guided by their values.
Tim brings a warm, thoughtful, and compassionate presence to his work. Drawing on his own personal journey, he understands how important it is to feel safe, accepted, and truly heard in therapy. Clients often describe him as approachable and empathetic, creating a space where they can explore their thoughts and feelings openly, without judgement.
His approach is holistic and creative. Alongside talking therapy, Tim may incorporate imagination, drawing, and gentle body-based awareness to support clients in exploring their inner world in different ways. This can be particularly helpful when words feel difficult or when deeper emotional experiences are being processed.
Before retraining as a therapist, Tim spent twenty years working in the wine industry. His decision to move into counselling came from a desire for greater personal fulfilment and a deeper interest in emotional wellbeing and personal growth. He also has an ongoing interest in Eastern philosophies and mindfulness-based practices, including meditation, Reiki, and Qigong, which inform his understanding of balance, awareness, and self-connection.
Tim works with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, identity and self-esteem difficulties, loss, relationship challenges, and high sensitivity (HSP). As a trainee therapist, he offers low-cost counselling as part of his professional training, with all client work supported by regular clinical supervision.
Tim is based at Cherry Tree Therapy Centre in Henley, and offers face-to-face sessions on weekdays.
