Life brings challenges in many forms, such as the end of a relationship, a career change, burnout, bereavement, or simply feeling that something needs to change. You might be experiencing low mood, struggling with workplace pressures, or feeling disconnected despite being surrounded by people. At such times, it can be helpful to seek support rather than suffer alone.
Therapy isn’t only for times of crisis. It can offer emotional support, help you reconnect with yourself, unlock your growth potential, and lead you to a more fulfilling life.
Taking the step to seek therapy can feel significant, and finding someone you feel comfortable with matters. Urvi offers a warm, confidential, and supportive space for clients to explore whatever they bring at their own pace. She believes that, given the right environment, people have an inbuilt ability to grow and flourish.
What Sets Urvi Apart
Having worked across four continents, Australia, India, Singapore, and the United States, Urvi brings a deep understanding of cross-cultural experiences and the complexities of navigating between different cultural worlds.
Urvi has a particular interest in intergenerational trauma and shame, especially with those who grew up as caretakers managing parents’ emotions, family crises, or taking on adult responsibilities too early. She works with how these early roles impact present-day relationships, boundaries, and sense of self.
Before becoming a counsellor, she spent over 20 years in management consultancy, financial services, and telecommunications, giving her firsthand insight into workplace pressures, the complexity of professional relationships, and the often invisible toll of burnout.
How Urvi Works
Urvi specialises in anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, relationship issues, low self-esteem, and identity issues. She draws on different therapeutic approaches—including work with thoughts and patterns (CBT), understanding how past experiences shape the present (psychodynamic), exploring meaning and choice (existential), and body-based awareness, tailoring her work to your individual needs at a pace that feels manageable.
