William is a trainee counsellor currently studying Level 4 Therapeutic Counselling at CPTA Reading, having completed his Level 2 and 3 qualifications in 2023 and 2024. Now entering his final year of training, William brings warmth, practicality, and a gently challenging presence to the therapy space.
He works integratively, drawing from person-centred and psychodynamic approaches to support adults with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, identity and life direction, and past trauma.
Before training as a therapist, William worked as a solicitor specialising in employment law. His legal background has given him deep experience supporting people in vulnerable and high-stress situations. Alongside this, he is also a painter and teaches art to both adults and children.
William’s decision to become a therapist was driven by a desire to focus on the human stories behind his legal clients’ experiences. His own personal journey through challenges and neurodiversity has further shaped his empathic and grounded approach.
William offers both face-to-face and online sessions. He is available during weekdays and evenings on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
