Barry is Operations Director at Cherry Tree Therapy Centre in Henley-on-Thames, where he is responsible for the operational and strategic development of the centre. He focuses on creating the systems, processes, and infrastructure that support the day-to-day running of the organisation, helping to ensure that both therapists and clients experience a professional, reliable, and welcoming service.
His work includes overseeing key projects, developing internal management systems, and leading the ongoing development of technology and booking processes that support the growth of the centre. Much of this work takes place behind the scenes, creating the stability and organisation that allow therapists to focus on their clinical work.
Before entering the counselling profession, Barry worked for many years as a sustainability consultant within the construction industry, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, leading projects, and working closely with clients and stakeholders. This experience continues to inform his practical and collaborative approach to leadership and organisational development.
Alongside his operational role, Barry works clinically as an integrative counsellor. His specialist area is sex and porn addiction, where he supports individuals, couples, and partners affected by compulsive sexual behaviours and their impact on relationships. He has also completed Internal Family Systems (IFS) Level 1 training, an approach that may be incorporated into his therapeutic work where appropriate.
Barry facilitates the Men’s Recovery Groups at the Cherry Tree Therapy Centres in Henley-on-Thames and Buckhurst Hill and is committed to creating safe, supportive environments where people can explore difficult issues without judgement.
Barry offers counselling both online and in person from the Henley-on-Thames and Buckhurst Hill centres.
