Lawrence Littledale

Student Counsellor

Lawrence Littledale worked in mental health services in Oxford, and practices as an Occupational Therapist. He understands the importance of listening skills and supporting clients around their emotional needs. Indeed, it was for these reasons that his qualification in counselling became so appealing. Having a knowledge and understanding of a client’s needs is fundamental, as is a desire to continue to learn and progress in this area.

Lawrence is a trainee counsellor in his third year of study with Chrysalis. He enjoys working with people and helping others make positive changes in their own lives. He is committed to helping clients achieve personal goals.

He is a trained Occupational Therapist with seven years of experience working within a Mental Health role in Oxford.

As well as undertaking a recognised counselling qualification, he is a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT) and The Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC). Previous work experience has allowed him to develop as a professional when working with a range of complex mental health conditions. He has an awareness of alleviating risk in practice and an understanding of the safeguarding guidelines he operates within.

Throughout his employment history he has held a number of roles supporting a variety of age groups with either physical or psychological difficulties. He has strived to engage them all in activities they enjoy, whilst showing an awareness of health and safety considerations. Having a passion for these vocations has reflected in the level of endeavour and enthusiasm he demonstrates in his work.

Lawrence offers both online and face-to-face counselling sessions in Henley.
