Susie Bradforth

Susie Bradforth

Integrative Therapist. Outdoor Therapist.

Susie Bradforth is a qualified integrative counsellor working with us at The Cherry Tree Therapy Centre in Henley-on-Thames offering face-to-face counselling to adults. Susie has worked for many years in higher education and business settings.

Susie works in a client-centric way, believing that the client is an expert in themselves, and she encourages collaborative exploration and offers gentle observations to aid the therapeutic process. She is an advocate of the therapeutic relationship being at the heart of a successful counselling experience and provides a warm, safe, non-judgmental, and empathetic space for honest dialogue.

Susie believes that every client is unique, and she tailors her counselling to suit each client, using a range of theoretical approaches. She also believes in being authentic, and that having a sense of humour can at times relieve the intensity of sessions where appropriate.

Susie can provide a particularly empathetic ear, having suffered life-changing experiences herself. She is a mother of three children and understands the challenges of a hectic work/life balance where sometimes there seems to be no room for oneself.

Alongside her 1:1 Private Practice, Susie Bradforth offers short to medium-term counselling at a local charity to those who have suffered from historic/recent rape or sexual abuse, or those indirectly affected. The diversity and complexity of clients that she has worked with in this post has enriched her counselling ability and general outlook on life

She is a strong advocate of outdoor ‘walking’ therapy where she believes the combination of side-by-side, forward movement, together with the natural environment, aids the therapeutic process. Walking therapy is also ideal for those who find it awkward to look directly at their therapist!

She also offers online and telephone counselling.
